Admission Requirements (MAS)

· Graduated from a 4 year bachelor’s degree program or equivalent.

· Achieved a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3 (B) in their undergraduate studies.

· IELTS: Minimum overall bands 6.0 (Preference will be given to 6.5 no less than 6.0 band)

· TOEFL iBT Minimum 79 or higher

MASTER OF ADMINISTRATIVE SCIENCE (MAS)

The Master of Administrative Science (MAS) degree is a 30-credit degree to enhance the administrative and leadership skills of graduates. An opportunity to begin the program at any one of three entry points during the year: September, January, May.

The program combines both cognitive and affective (interactive) instruction through case studies, simulations, individual and group exercises, and fieldwork that helps to develop critical managerial effectiveness. The MAS educational experience seeks to develop critical administrative competencies in a supportive learning environment in conjunction with specific and clear feedback

The MAS degree will offer the following areas of specialization:

1.  Master of Administrative Science (30 credits)

 

·  Computer Security and Forensic Administration – designed exclusively for the law enforcement community and corporate security executives who are expert in Computer & Cyber security, Risk Management, Cyber Forensics & Disaster Recovery

·  Global Health & Human Services Administrationfor a balanced administrator and leader in Healthcare, Human Services, and related fields. It is very good course for B. Pharmacy, B. Physiotherapist or BDS degree holders and other Healthcare students.

·  Global Leadership & Administrationdesigned for leaders and administrators of international businesses. It is very good course for all M.A. / M.Com/ M.sc. / MBA degree holder. All (12+4) bachelors may apply to this program.

·  Global Technology Administrationdesigned for managers and information technology professional to improve innovation, strategy, operations and effectiveness in today’s agile global business architectures. It is very good course for B.E – IT/CS/EC, MCA degree holders.

·  Human Resources Administration – For those who are working in the area of human resources or desire to move into the field. It is very good course for all M.A. / M.Com/ M.sc. / LLB degree holders. All Bachelors students may apply.

2.  Master of Science in Hospitality Management Studies (36 Credits)

– Very good course for Hospitality graduates, No. 4 top hospitality program in US

Please note: Master of Administrative Science (MAS) graduate program is very competitive and seats for each semester are limited.  If seat capacity is filled prior to all applications being processed; the remaining applications will be deferred to the next semester and the applicants will be notified. By Admissions Committee FDU Vancouver Campus.

Admissions to the MAS program will be competitive and meeting minimum requirements may not guarantee entry to the program. In order to maintain the quality and integrity of the program, FDU will set a number of seats to fill each semester and a specified number of applicants will receive offers.  Applications will be judged on specific entrance criteria including previous academic performance, English proficiency, Letters of Recommendation and a Statement of Purpose.

SAT or ACT scores are NOT required for admission consideration. However, an applicant may be eligible for higher scholarship award if they score above 1050 in SAT Critical Reading and Math combined sections, or above 23 in ACT. If an applicant has a SAT or ACT score, please request ETS (www.ets.org) to send official score reports to Fairleigh Dickinson University. FDU offers minimum USD $ 12,900 and maximum: USD $64,000 entrance scholarship to Undergraduate programs for 4 year study. FDU also accept credits transfer with scholarship as well.

Application Procedure:

1.    Student sign the FDU – Vancouver Letter of offer and pay the $2,500 USD tuition deposit before the deadline specified on the letter. Its nonrefundable if withdrawal.

2.    Tuition deposit is refundable except US$300 non-refundable registration fee in case rejection.

Refund Policy

Students are eligible for refunds for the following:

·         Over payment of Tuition Fees

·         Credit on Account

·         Tuition Deposits (note Tuition deposits are only refundable for visa denials. A nonrefundable fee of $300 will be withheld)

To apply for refund, students must submit an application for refund form link to form.

Payments through cash, cheque, money order and wire transfer:

Refunds will normally be issued by cheque directly to the student. Exceptions may be made with the written authorization of the student, or in the case of where a business/employer has a direct billing arrangement with the university. A student may request a refund to be issued to a third party providing there is evidence that the original payment was made by that party. (E.g. a cheque in another person’s name, a wire transfer from another party, or if payment by the third party was witnessed.) We will as a practice make a note of a third party payment on our documentation.

*Students will indicate any special instructions on the Vancouver refund form.

Payment by Credit Card

Any refunds for payments made by credit card will be refunded directly back to the credit card from which the payment was made.

Delivery Method

Refunds by cheque will be sent via regular mail unless otherwise specified by the student. Students will be responsible for any special delivery arrangements (e.g. courier and any special delivery charges will be deducted from the refunded amount). The request for special arrangements must be done at the time the refund request is made. Once a cheque is issued, the amount cannot be adjusted.

Processing Time

It will normally take between 3 and 5 weeks from the time the completed refund form is received by the Enrollment Services Office in Vancouver to process the refund. If the form is not complete, the process will take longer.

Refund Policy for students who have registered for Fall and Spring Sessions

Prior to the first day of the program         100% refund of tuition (less tuition deposit)

During the first week of the program        90% refund of tuition charges only

During the second week of the program    80% refund of tuition charges only

During the third week of the program       60% refund of tuition charges only

During the fourth week of the program     40% refund of tuition charges only

During the fifth week of the program        20% refund of tuition charges only

After the fifth week of the program                   NO REFUND OF TUITION AND FEES

Refund Policy for students who have registered for Summer Session courses or courses 12 weeks or less:

Prior to the first day of the program         100% refund of tuition (less tuition deposit)

During the first week of the program        75% refund of tuition charges only

During the second week of the program    50% refund of tuition charges only

After the second week of the program      NO REFUND OF TUITION AND FEES

This cancellation schedule does not apply to special or weekend programs. Cancellation schedules for these programs are available at the Office of Enrollment Services.

Students enrolled in courses that are offered from the New Jersey campuses will be subject to the withdrawal dates of the academic calendar of the particular campus or course.

Actual due dates for fall and spring semesters and summer and winter sessions are available upon request and posted in the registration and bursarial areas of each campus.

We can also provide homestay where the student lives with a Canadian family.  The average cost for homestay is $ 850 per month with 3 meals per day.

IMPORTANT: To accept this offer, please read this form in its entirety, then complete this form and return it with a non-refundable tuition deposit of US$2,500. To guarantee your admission we must receive your US$2,500 tuition deposit within 30 days of the date of this letter. Payment of the tuition deposit constitutes an agreement with the terms and conditions of this letter.

NOTE: FDU-Vancouver only requires US$2,500 tuition deposit. If you choose to prepay your tuition in advance please send the money as one payment.

Upon receipt of your tuition deposit, a signed copy of this letter, and appendix II completed, you will receive a Letter of Acceptance. Please note that your $2,500 tuition deposit is ONLY refundable (less the $300 registration fee) if your application for a Study Permit is denied by Canada Immigration.
